Introduction

A new optimization algorithm namely Exponential-Trigonometric Optimization (ETO) algorithm is proposed based on an elegant combination of exponential and trigonometric functions. The ETO algorithm is structured to strike a balance between two important stages: exploration and exploitation, which is also the goal that many other optimization algorithms were investigated. To enhance the capacity to explore and exploit the search space at different optimization milestones, the ETO integrates several additional random and adaptive variables to provide better results compared to the exist algorithm.
